Building a Night Made from Stardust: A Reflection

I meant to write about the night we brainstormed sooner, but life was full that day in the best ways. Last Friday, I sat down with A-Natural to begin constructing the set list for my show, this September.

At the beginning of this year, I set a clear intention: to create one major show, fully my own, not tied to anyone else’s vision, just mine, pure and whole. By the end of the first quarter of 2025, I had already locked in the venue. Now, it’s about weaving all the pieces together to create something beautiful… something vibrating at a cosmic frequency.

I’ve been asking God to guide me, not just in the vision itself, but in the people who are meant to help bring it to life. Those who will help build the universe of the night. Their gifts, their energies, are just as vital to this creation as my own. And it’s been unfolding so divinely that now, there’s just one more person left to ask before this constellation of collaborators feels complete.

Throughout this month, I've been concepting, gathering fragments of ideas, sketching out pieces of a bigger picture I couldn’t yet fully see. My mind has been everywhere, trying to grasp it. It’s been a challenge but also a beautiful reminder: I’m not meant to build this cosmos alone.

I’m beautiful alone but with others, we become masterpieces.

This realization has been humbling and heart-opening. I’m surrounded by some truly gifted souls who don’t hesitate to add their light to this journey.

When I arrived at A-Nat’s house, we caught up a little and then dove right into building the foundation of the setlist. I laid out my ideas, my intentions, what I hope people will feel that night and almost instantly, he began connecting the pieces. His mind lit up, expanding my ideas with his own genius, elevating everything with a spirit that aligned so perfectly with my own.

In that moment, I felt it clear as a frequency humming through my chest:

God is directing this night.

Chills ran through me. Excitement rose between us, undeniable. We just looked at each other and smiled, knowing something sacred was happening.

I asked him to go through my entire catalog, even the unreleased material, and choose what resonated. When he shared the songs he envisioned, I was amazed. Some choices surprised me in the best way and made my heart smile. His selections reflected growth, evolution, the full mirror of where I stand now, spiritually and mentally.

The excitement? Indescribable.

We immediately began envisioning the night in vivid color, what it could feel like, what it could call down from the heavens. It felt limitless. Possible. Cosmic.

I’m stepping into this fearlessly now, leaning into collaboration and somehow, I’ve never felt more empowered. More evolved.

This night will be one for the books.

I can't wait to see what we all create together.

I’ve been asking God to guide me, not just in the vision itself, but in the people who are meant to help bring it to life. Those who will help build the universe of the night.
