I May Be Stepping Into Something BIG

In all my research on getting this novel together, the one thing everyone keeps saying is simple:

Read.

Read a lot.

And that… I’ve been doing.

A lot. 😂

At the top of the year, I set a goal to read 10 books and this was before the novel idea was even fully birthed. Not realizing I was actually preparing myself for this very moment. Walking straight into destiny… without even knowing it. Now I’m 15 books in, inspired more than ever, and I’ve raised the bar to 25 for the year.

Through this journey, I’ve discovered some authors who have really been moving me such as: S.A. Cosby, C.G. Drews, James Islington, and Mason Coile. Writers who truly soar in storytelling. I’ve been learning from their perspectives, their structure, their heart. And I’m excited to dive into authors such as: Octavia E. Butler, Ryan Douglass, and Pierce Brown. I can already feel what’s coming from that.

When I tell you I can’t wait to jump into another book… I almost thirst for it.

It’s been wild exploring all these worlds. seeing how stories are built, how they breathe, how they move. And it’s pushed me to make sure the story I’m creating is fully realized… something immersive, something that feels like an adventure. Something BIG!

This whole process has also bled back into my songwriting.

I’ve been shaking hands again with my poetic self…and we’re getting reacquainted. I left them behind for a bit, somewhere along the way when the industry’s version of “commercial” started settling in. But being back in this space? It’s been good. Really good.

Anyway…

I’m excited to bring you all into the world of STARSEED.

That world will be opening up on the website soon with more details to come.

And you know what’s funny?

I keep picking up books that are either becoming movies or TV shows… or feel like they should be.

I’m taking that as a sign. 😂

Let me stay focused though… shiii.

But outside of all that, I hope everyone is doing well, finding your rhythm, and navigating life with a little more peace each day.
